Anvil Shortlisted for International Assistance Award
ITIJ Awards 2021 | International Assistance Company of the Year Finalist
Anvil Group has been named as a finalist in the ITIJ Awards 2021, in the International Assistance Company of the Year category. The International Travel & Health Insurance Journal (ITIJ) Awards celebrate the extraordinary efforts of companies from across all sectors of the travel and health insurance industry.
“We’re thrilled to be announced as a finalist in these prestigious awards,” stated Matthew Judge, Group Managing Director, Anvil Group. “The last year and a half has certainly presented us all with a unique set of challenges, but I could not be prouder of the Anvil team. From our first line responders through to our back-office support teams, our staff have pulled together and shown outstanding spirit and tenacity.”
He continues, “Throughout the pandemic, we’ve provided our clients with up-to-date information, repatriation services and ongoing support for expats in-country. We’ve also introduced a wide range of new services including a Covid-19 ‘Fit to Work’ app and Covid-19 telemedicine support; medical emergency response plans; specialist occupational health services including Covid-19 vulnerability risk assessments; and an extensive series of educational webinars to help organisations, travellers and expats navigate the Covid-19 landscape.”
He concludes, “Despite the uncertainty and the extraordinary circumstances we have all had to contend with, we have continued to work together closely, supporting our global client base through these uncertain times.”
Award organisers pay tribute to the finalists
On announcing the finalists, the award organisers paid tribute to the organisations who made it to the final shortlist. “As the ITIJ Awards enter their 29th year, the global travel and health insurance industry is facing challenges the likes of which have never been seen before. The difficulties brought about by Covid-19 have disrupted global supply chains and encumbered assistance operations and yet, despite it all, the industry has adapted and innovated to meet the challenging demands of the global pandemic.
“Each finalist has certainly gone above and beyond in their dedication to excellence within the industry. Recent times have been challenging in ways that none of us could have foreseen, and the fact that these organisations have swiftly adapted to overcome the vast obstacles they have been faced with, is testament to their versatility and strength in the face of adversity.”
This year’s winners will be revealed at the ITIJ Awards ceremony which takes place on Thursday 4 November as the finale of the ITIC Global conference in Madrid.
